Testimonial Mina Akhavan

I am truly honoured to write this testimonial for the PCF, with whom I have had the privilege of collaborating since 2020. Having worked on ports, port cities and related topics for more than a decade, I was excited to become a member of this rich network of academics and professionals coming from various disciplines, each bringing a unique perspective and expertise to the table.

My journey with PCF has been nothing short of transformative, and it played a pivotal role in my academic career and the successful attainment of my currently ongoing project RePortFlows, funded by the Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA).

From the moment I joined the PCF network, I was immediately struck by the dedication, diversity, and interdisciplinary brilliance of its members. This rich tapestry of knowledge and experience is what makes PCF a true powerhouse of innovation and collaboration.

The environment fostered by PCF is one of intellectual curiosity and open-mindedness, where ideas are not just discussed but nurtured and brought to life. This spirit of innovation and collaboration was instrumental in shaping my research ideas and ultimately led to the development of a proposal that secured my MSCA Fellowship. The mentorship and guidance I received from PCF members were invaluable. They not only encouraged me to think critically and creatively but also provided constructive feedback that helped refine my research proposal.

In conclusion, I owe a significant debt of gratitude to the PCF research team for their inspiration, guidance, and unwavering support. I am eager to continue contributing to the vibrant and innovative community that PCF represents and look forward to future collaborations that will undoubtedly push the boundaries of research and knowledge even further.
