PortCityFutures is an initiative launched by the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus University alliance. The program's aim is to investigate the evolving socio-spatial conditions, the use and the design of port city regions. In particular exploring areas in which port and city activities occur side by side and can sometimes conflict. PortCityFutures brings together a highly engaged multi-disciplinary community of researchers who are interested in the spaces, the governance and the culture of port city regions. Carola Hein, Sabine Luning and Paul van de Laar take you on a walk through the port of Rotterdam, explaining the eventful history of the port.
