Elise van Dooren

Elise van Dooren studied architecture. She enjoys teaching design and is fascinated by the question of how one learns to design. Her fascination with design education resulted in a PhD and the development of courses for students and teachers on design didactics (Delft University of Technology, academies in Groningen and Tilburg, Technasium).

She is also fascinated by cities, how they develop over time and the challenges they face in the future. In the minor (Re)imagining port cities, the past and future of a port city are studied and interventions for a sustainable future are designed.
