Prof.dr. P.T. (Paul) van de Laar, endowed professor of History of Rotterdam on behalf of Foundation Endowed Chair Roterodamum at Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication , will present his public valedictory lecture on Friday 29 May 2026 , entitled: Rotterdam: from Transitpolis to City Lounge? Full professors are invited to participate with gown in the academic procession. We kindly request you to be present from 15.30 hrs on the first floor of the Erasmus Building, near the rector’s room. The ceremony will begin at 16.00 hrs promptly in the Aula, Erasmus Building, of the university, Burgemeester Oudlaan 50, Rotterdam. The valedictory lecture can also be viewed via a live stream. The reception takes place in the same building afterwards. The rector magnificus invites you to attend this ceremony and reception.
